Congratulations, Maddy! In the past few weeks, Madelina Marquez has gotten a windfall of good news. She will become a prestigious National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow in the fall, a mark of enthusiasm for the trajectory of her research and academic development. Madelina has also been awarded UNC Biology's Wilson Award to facilitate her research this summer on coastal cyanobacterial mats.
