Sophie is proud and excited to begin working on her new NSF CAREER Award project, Species Interactions of Coral Reef Benthic Cyanobacterial Mats: Within-Mat Diversity Promotes Both Facilitation and Top-Down Control. This project investigates what drives the longevity and eventual death of marine cyanobacterial mat blooms. Stay tuned for updates as we continue to learn more about these fascinating and noxious blooms on coral reefs and across freshwater and marine systems globally.
