Ethan will be staying on in the McCoy Lab for his postdoctoral research, joining a project on blooms of Didymosphenia or 'rock snot' that have become a problem in many Appalachian streams.
Ethan's research is off to a kick start with a Grant from the American Museum of Natural History's Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Fund to study the disruption of organic carbon cycle within the stream under Didymo bloom conditions. Well done, Ethan!
